Regarding John B. Bellinger III?s Feb. 24 Washington Forum commentary, ?A noble cause that goes too far?:
Mr. Bellinger?s statement that international law does not allow courts to exercise jurisdiction over offenses in other countries is incorrect. To the contrary, regulating the activities of businesses incorporated within a state is one of the oldest and most established bases for jurisdiction. There is nothing unfair about holding a U.S. corporation to account on its home turf.
