Look before leaping into a University of Maryland merger

Regarding the Nov. 10 editorial ?Making two universities one?:

Assuming The Post was not proposing relocation of entire schools from Baltimore to College Park (which would be extremely expensive and disruptive), we should be asking how�collaboration between the University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore, compares with collaboration levels observed at the�?flagship? public campuses in 22 other states that are more than 20 miles from their systems? medical schools.
