Hey, isn?t that . . . : Kris Allen as a Ghostbuster (video)
? Kris Allen dancing in the middle of storm-drenched 15th Street NW around 1 a.m. Tuesday, wearing a Ghostbusters jumpsuit. No, you guys, really, it sounds like a dream, but it happened! The 2009 ?American Idol? winner ? who played the Hamilton in D.C. Sunday but had an Annapolis gig canceled by the weather ? was dining with bandmates and associates at the Madison (looking totally normal: hipster-chic, black-rimmed specs, etc.) when a Post reporter asked for a photo. . . which somehow prompted the guys to get their Halloween started early, putting on the costumes they had on hand and running out to see if any bars had weathered the storm. He was last seen chasing the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man down the street. Well, of course there?s video ? check it out. . .

?The Coffee Table Book of Doom,? by Steven Appleby and Art Lester
It?s easy to divide the world into pessimists and optimists: glass half-empty, glass half-full. But ? We all agree: Sandy is more than hot air
You think you are entitled to your own facts? Increasingly, many of us do.
We don?t trust government, or politicians, or the mainstream media or scientists with their studies about climate change. We don?t trust fact-checkers.

Romney has a lot of nerve
Mitt Romney has a lot of nerve. I am usually forgiving of politicians who embellish or exaggerate in search of victory. Presidential campaigns used to be a little like water polo; it was just assumed there would always be a lot of fouling and dirty play below the surface. But Mitt Romney is in another category. He reminds me of Madonna in his ability to reinvent himself.

Jon Huntsman?s daughters, off the campaign trail but still on the scene
A year ago, it?s safe to assume, the breakout stars of the GOP primary didn?t envision spending one of the final 10 days of the 2012 race as VIP hostesses at a suburban boutique opening.
But if you were looking for a touch of sideline melancholy at Tysons Galleria on Saturday ? well, that?s just not how the ?Jon2012 Girls? roll.
