A dining room is redecorated in Bethesda

THE CHALLENGE

Joanne Keiser of Bethesda would like her dining room to be more functional and a focal point in her townhouse. The 13-by-19-foot space currently serves as a combination dining room-family room.

THE SOLUTION

By swapping the dining and family room areas and choosing a cheery color for the walls, designer Sara Tuttle breathes fresh air into this stale space.
