Regarding the proposed Whole Foods store and accompanying complex in Riverdale Park [ ?A Whole Foods in Prince George?s?? Metro, Sept. 11]: We don?t need it ? at least not in that location.
A member of the Madison Hill Homeowners? Association was quoted as saying: ?All we have is the Shoppers. . . . Anything to bring some jobs.? However, we have much more than Shoppers: Safeway and Giant grocery stores are not far away. We also have Mom?s Organic Market in College Park, the Glut food co-op in Mount Rainier and Yes! Organic Market in the Hyattsville Arts District. I don?t need to trek to Whole Foods in Silver Spring. These stores, along with the new Wegmans, are more than enough.
