Regarding the Sept. 6 front-page article ?Strapped Rhode Island may take ax to pensions?:
If I had worked for the state of Rhode Island, I would feel stabbed in the back. Those employees did their jobs for decades to earn their pensions, and they retired counting on that money to survive. They had to plan just how far those dollars would go to determine how they could live.
